Workshop
This workshop allows participants to unpack their own experiences with antisemitism, which has risen expontentially in North America in the months following October 7. We will provide a safe and supportive space for personal processing, and together gain tools to identify antisemitism from the right and the left, online and in person. We will examine different examples of antisemitism, both historical and current, in our quest for a deeper understanding of antisemitism and its effects on us as individuals and a Jewish community.

This program will delve into the mobilization of Israeli civil society in the aftermath of October 7, specifically the central role of Israel's youth movements in providing a crucial support to the education system among displaced communities. We will focus on the resilience of young people in choosing to lead and take responsibility for their own communities in the face of unspeakable trauma and crisis, as well as the rapid transformation of civil organizations to fill the void left in wartime chaos of Israeli civil society.

Teen Workshop on the Anniversary
of October 7th
A workshop marking one year since October 7. As educators, we recognize the unique challenges our young people have faced in navigating the rapidly changing and complex realities of the past year, from encounters in school to the overwhelming flood of information and misinformation online. This session creates a safe space for teens to explore their thoughts and feelings, offering guidance on how to navigate difficult conversations, clarify values, and find strength in their identity as American Jews. Join us as we empower our teenagers to navigate these uncertain times with resilience, clarity, and confidence.

Israeli young adults

Over the past six months, Israeli society has witnessed the emergence of a generation of heroes, transcending boundaries of ethnicity and background. After years of being labeled the 'lost generation', Israeli young adults have stood the test of their generation: from reserve military duties to widespread civilian volunteering efforts spanning various sectors, the country is witnessing a profound redefinition of youth engagement. This engaging presentation tells the story of Israeli young adults, a generation committed to the betterment of Israeli society

This program will deal with the central role of army service in Israeli society, both in light of Oct 7 and in general. It will provide a zoomed-in perspective on the soldiers' experiences and day-to-day dilemmas in their service. We will also examine the ripple-out effects of mass army mobilization on the rest of society: the loss of income, and families transformed overnight into single-parent households with no timeline of when things will "return to normal." We will explore the sense of communal responsibility for Israel's existential security and defense, and the concept of a "people's army" that brings together almost all parts of Israeli society.
One year since
October 7th
This session will mark one year since October 7, allowing us to come together to reflect on our collective and individual experiences as American Jews. American Jewry has witnessed the dual realities of increasing antisemitism and burgeoning solidarity within our communities. Together, we'll address the weighty questions that have arisen about our identity and place in society, reconciling our desire to defend Israel's existence with critique of its policies and political direction. This facilitated discussion creates space for dialogue, and is aimed for groups seeking to navigate complexities, and find solace, understanding, and solidarity.

The Jewish Student Movement's Enduring Impact
Uncover a pivotal chapter in American Jewish history as we delve into the aftermath of the Six-Day War. Our unique lecture sheds light on how American Jewish youth grappled with identity amidst societal upheavals of the 1960s and 70s, establishing autonomous Jewish student organizations. These groups allowed them to advocate for progressive causes while maintaining their Zionist identities. Join us to reflect on the relevance of their struggle in today's context and explore the enduring lessons for Diaspora Jewry.
